SENIORS PROGRAM - Our Senior Program is held at the Blueberry Hill Activity Center the second Thursday of every month from 11:00am-1:00pm. Many Seniors (anyone age 55+) enjoy the monthly programs, socializing, meeting new friends and enjoying various delicious foods. Program fee: $15 (yearly) and $2 for lunch at each program. This month entertainment: Singer/Dennis Smalley.

NEW RECYCLING BINS - Starting April 3, 2017 the Borough will be switching to automated pick-up of recyclables only. Garbage collection will remain the same. The new totes will be delivered on or about the last week of March and Waste Management will deliver a container to each home owner in Franklin Park.  Each container will include an informational sheet regarding its use and placement at the curb.

YARD WASTE APPLICATION

The drop off site is to be used only for items such as tree or brush trimmings, leaves (placed in the designated area and kept in the brown biodegradable bags) and weeds. The same restrictions apply to both curbside brush chipping and the drop off site; only trimmings that are up to 4" in diameter can be accepted. The Borough also asks that you please utilize the April and November curbside brush chipping and leaf collection if possible.
 

This site is for residential disposal only, commercial use is prohibited.
*IMPORTANT* The following materials are not permitted to be placed at the Yard Waste Drop Off site: grass clippings, tree or brush trimmings larger than 4" in diameter, garbage, stumps, logs, asphalt, concrete, dirt, mulch, clay, stone, construction materials or anything that won't degrade. Under no circumstances should anything be left in plastic bags.

PRESCHOOL DANCE PROGRAM - Learn the beginning ballet steps while dancing to your favorite songs from FROZEN. Through active play and imagination students will learn the beginning ballet and tap steps in a fun positive learning environment. In addition to learning the dance skills the children will learn stage presence and to work together as a team. The preschool dance program focuses on helping children develop physically, emotionally, and socially.

YOUTH DANCE PROGRAM - Join the fun and learn ballet, tap, and jazz/hip-hop while dancing to your favorite songs. This class focuses on basic technique and proper terminology of ballet, tap, jazz and hip-hop while improving balance, coordination and rhythm. Research studies indicate children who participate in the arts perform better academically in school. During the 5 weeks of dance lessons you will notice your child build self-control, confidence, a positive outlook, responsibility, and thinking skills.

AMERICAN RED CROSS BABYSITTER TRAINING - The purpose of this course is to provide youth, or anyone over the age of 11, with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism, basic care, safety, safe play & first aid. Individuals under the age of 11 are welcome, but won't receive a certificate. The class can last anywhere from 7-9 hours so make sure you bring something for lunch. An excellent start to get that first job. Must have a minimum of 8 participants.

SPRING LEAF BAG COLLECTION - MONDAYS, APRIL 10,17 and 24, 2017 - All bags must be placed at the curb by 6:00AM Monday morning of each week. Leaves must be in biodegradable paper bags. Do not put rocks, sticks, plastic bottles, etc. in bags or close bags with duct tape. These items will contaminate the mulch.

SPRING BRUSH CHIPPING - SPRING COLLECTION BEGINS MONDAY, APRIL 3, 2017  All brush must be placed at the curb by 7:00AM on Monday April 3rd. (1/2" to 4" in diameter only) The chipper will pass through the borough one time. The chipping service may take several weeks to get to all areas of the borough depending on the amount of brush placed at the curb. Although we cannot provide specific dates, they will get to your area as soon as possible. Please cut and place your brush perpendicular to the curb with the butt end out. This service is provided for brush and tree trimmings only. No thorn bushes accepted. If you have a tree or trees to dispose of, you must contact a private contractor. Borough crews will not spend more than 15 minutes at your home.
