Its Snow Time! - The Franklin Park Public Works Department has the responsibility of clearing municipal streets of snow and ice from winter storms. They take this responsibility very seriously.
Please take a moment and review how residents and motorists can assist them in protecting our safety and welfare during this season.


A reminder from the Franklin Park Borough tax office: Don't forget to file Earned Income Tax by April 15, 2010. Feel free to call the tax office with any questions you may have regarding your local earned income tax.

2010 Spring Recreation Newsletter - Residents should have received the Spring 2010 recreation newsletter with all the great programs offered by our recreation department.  If you are not a resident and interested in our programs click on the link below to view upcoming programs. Lunch with the Easter Bunny - The entire family will enjoy a delicious lunch of hamburgers or hot dogs, chips, a cookie and a drink. After lunch, the children (12 and under) can have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, play a variety of games and work on a craft project. From here, those twelve and younger and their parents will join in the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Pre-registration required by April 1, 2010. Day of program registration fee will be $7 per person.

Easter Egg Hunt
- Be sure to bring a basket or bag to put your filled eggs, candy and prize eggs you've collected. Pre-registration is not required for this part of the program.

Brush Drop-Off Site/Blueberry Hill Park - Due to recent weather conditions the drop-off site for brush and leaves will not be open until April 1st.  Permits are required and can be picked up at the municipal building. Must be a borough resident.


RPS Ski Ticket Price List - Franklin Park Borough is currently selling tickets for the Seven Springs Ski Resort.  Call 412-364-4115 ext. 301 with any questions.

Pine Creek Watershed Conservation Plan - The second public meeting for the Pine Creek Watershed Conservation Plan has been scheduled for Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Rose Barn in North Park from 6:30pm-8:00pm. The purpose of the meeting is to obtain public input on the project to date and draft management strategies that have been developed.


Northland Library Tutor  - Remember to visit www.northlandlibrary.org for free online help from real tutors. Available every day from 3:00pm-10:00pm provides a opportunity for help in math, english, science, social studies and a writing center. Grade levels: K-12, Intro to College and Adult Learners. History Department - Log on to the FPHISTORY blog at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review's www.yournorthhills.com website for stories and photos featuring local history, people and events and where you can also post comments.


Franklin Park Stories
- The third printing of our popular community history book has arrived. The cost is still $20 for the 236 page hardbound book of photos and stories. Books can be mailed for an additional $6.00/per copy. Makes a great gift for family, neighbors and former residents.


NATV Program Schedule - The agreement between North Allegheny and Franklin Park Borough provides another media outlet for us to get information out to our residents and beyond. Check out NATV! Franklin Park Recycling Cardboard -  Several containers for recycling cardboard are now located in the rear left corner parking lot of the Borough Building. (behind the police department). Please place only flatten, plain, corrugated cardboard inside the container. In utilizing the service residents must abide by two requirements. First, boxes must be free of any contaminates. Secondly, boxes must be flattened. Cardboard can be dropped off anytime and is monitored by Franklin Park Police cameras. Illegal dumping will be prosecuted.
