The Franklin Township Honor Roll for World
War veterans and the Franklin Park Veteran's Monument stand at
the entrance to Franklin Elementary School on Rochester Road.

Nearly 200 young men and women, including
five of the Pegher brothers, served in uniform during World

Soergel Orchard's first fruit stand as it

Coon hunting was popular country
activity. Pictured second from left is Jim McAleer, a
nationally known field-trial judge, breeder and trainer of
setters, beagles, and foxhounds.

John and Edna Wright Crispens' general store
stood at the intersection of Rochester and West Ingomar roads
in the Old Ingomar section of Franklin Township.
Originally operated by the Wright family, the store was torn
down in the early 1960's and replaced with a service station.

Oil was discovered in Franklin Township in
the 1880's with the boom period peaking around the time of
World War I. Pictured is a well and crew that stood
