Every January, Borough Council appoints official newspapers. Notices are advertised, to inform the public of the proposed actions, to be taken by Borough Council as required by law. Most of the advertisements are in the Thursday, North Section, of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Although ads may be posted in either or both newspapers. The papers designated are the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and the Tribune Review.
