LOCAL SERVICE TAX - Franklin Park Borough has instituted a Local Services Tax (LST) effective January 1, 2010. The tax levies a $52 fee on any employee who works in Franklin Park. It also applies to self-employed individuals, if the work/tasks they perform are primarily carried out within the Borough. Anyone earning less than $12,000 annually is exempt from the tax. Employers are required to collect this tax and make quarterly payments to the Borough. Most communities surrounding Franklin Park have already levied this tax in prior years.
