NEW LOCAL SERVICE TAX COLLECTOR
STARTING IN 2012
PA Act 32 of 2008 was passed to
simplify earned income tax collection for Pennsylvania
employers by consolidating in to taxing districts and
making it mandatory for withholding. As part of this
ruling Franklin Park was lumped with 60 other
municipalities forming the Northern Allegheny County
taxing district. Keystone Collection Group was designated
as the new taxing entity. To simplify where to make
payments, Franklin Park has designated Keystone
Collections to also collect the Local Service Tax starting
in 2012. You will still submit the 3rd and 4th quarter of
2011 to Franklin Park.
Now you will be able to make your
quarterly payments electronically. If you use Keystone for
earned income, you will now be able to submit both tax
payments by the same portal. The manual entry for payments
will also be available. Keystone will be sending
information to all Franklin Park employers later this year
about this change. The PSD CODE FOR FRANKLIN PARK IS
710702 when submitting payments. This
code will be used to designate Franklin Park so Keystone
can submit payment back to the right municipality. If you
