Rochester Road will be having utility relocation and landslide repair work done beginning next week between King William Drive and Sloop Road. The work will be done in two phases.
The first phase is for utility relocation is expected to begin next week. Single-lane alternating traffic will occur weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through late May. This work is being conducted for the future slide repair project.
The second phase is the landslide repair project. The landslide is north of the intersection of Sloop Road and Rochester Road. The project also consists of roadway reconstruction with a slight realignment of the road. Construction is anticipated to begin in late May 2020 and be completed by May 2021. Traffic on Rochester Road will be closed and detoured during construction. The detour will be in place from early June to early November 2020. The designated detour route, beginning from north of the intersection of Rochester Road and Sloop Road, will utilize Rochester Road to Reis Run Road back to Rochester Road.
