PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that work on Brandt School Road between Corporate Drive and Wexford Bayne Road in Franklin Park Borough, as part of an ongoing project, will periodically occur during night hours – 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday-Saturday. The periodic night work will begin on Monday, June 15, 2020.
The decision to perform the work at night was made to help mitigate potential traffic issues. Residents who might be affected by the work have been notified.
The overall project, between West Ingomar Road and Wexford Bayne Road, will also continue to take place during daylight hours – 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday. The work, which is expected to last until September 2020, includes drainage repairs; concrete pavement rehabilitation; base repairs; milling and paving; curb, sidewalk, guide rail, pavement markings and signage installation; and other miscellaneous construction.
Throughout the project, drivers can expect to experience short stoppages in work zones. Flaggers will be used to control traffic, and drivers are urged to use caution in the area.
The $4.3 million project is being done by A. Folino Construction, Inc., of Oakmont.
