SALUTE TO VETERANS BREAKFAST

We are looking for past and present Veterans that reside in Franklin Park Borough.

As part of our Bicentennial, we are holding a Salute to Veterans Breakfast on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 10:00am, to which we would like to invite any veteran residing in the Borough.  If you are interested in attending, you can invite one guest as space is limited.  To put your reservation in you must sign up through our REC1 portal.  The cost per ticket is $25.00.  If you are unable to attend the breakfast, we would like to recognize you for your service in the Breakfast’s program.  Immediately following the breakfast will be a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Veterans Trail in Blueberry Hill Park.  If you are a Franklin Park Borough veteran or have any questions contact Donna Platt at 412-364-4115, Ext. 302 or by email at dplatt@franklinparkborough.us.  Thank you for your service.

Sidewalk Maintenance

Sidewalk Maintenance

With spring’s arrival, property maintenance often becomes a focus of our residents.

In the Borough of Franklin Park, it is the responsibility of the property owner to maintain any sidewalks that may border their property “in good repair”.

The borough of Franklin Park Code Chapter 159 “Property Maintenance” and Chapter 180 “Streets and Sidewalks” completely cover all property maintenance requirements for public sidewalks.

In late 2022, the Borough clarified “§ 180-8 Repair required” in Ordinance No. 672-2022 to provide an easily measurable definitions of when sidewalk repair is required.  Please follow this link to see the latest ordinance revisions for sidewalks.
