TWO NEW BEAUTIFUL GARDENS BEINGCREATED FOR ALL TO ENJOY Municipal Building - You may have noticed a large black tarp covering the grass near the side parking lot of the Municipal Building. A pollinator garden is being created by Girl Scout Troop 52673 as part of their service project. The garden will have many types of plants and flowers native to Pennsylvania with a gravel path access. Outside the garden will be a picnic table and a little library which is the service project of an Eagle Scout. These are just a start of the enhancements planned for the Municipal Building property for residents to come and enjoy.
Old Orchard Park - Parks Department staff have been busy cutting down dead and dying cherry trees and prepping the area that will become a beautiful pollinator garden with a variety of plants, bushes and flowers, most native to Pennsylvania, with a gravel path access. The garden is being created by local Girl Scouts in memory of a lost member and friend. The garden will include two park benches and little library, made and donated by Girl Scout Troop 46629 for their Bronze Award, in the midst of the garden for a nice quiet place to read or reflect. We hope you will enjoy these two gardens and the beauty that they will provide the community.

VANDALISM IN OUR PARKS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED It was recently discovered that someone vandalized park benches in Old Orchard Park. Not only does our Parks Department staff need to take time away from their regular duties to clean the graffiti off, but these benches were donated as a memorial for a loved one or special remembrance. It is disrespectful and unlawful to cause damage to other peoples property. If anyone witnesses any act of vandalism, please report it immediately.
