Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company
The Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company No.1 is the entity responsible for fire and rescue related emergency response within the Borough of Franklin Park. They work closely with Borough Council to assure adequate staff, training, and equipment are in place in the event of a fire/rescue emergency. This is an all volunteer organization who has proudly served our community for for over 100 years.
Please note the Fire Company also works closely with the Borough of Franklin Park Fire Officials Office which is staffed by Borough Employees. This sometimes causes confusion as to whom you should contact, we hope the two paragraphs below clarify the difference:
The Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company handles the fire station, fire trucks, firefighters, and any and all equipment, supplies, and training needed to respond to a fire or rescue related emergency. You can visit the Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company website at www.franklinparkvfc158.org .
The Borough of Franklin Park Fire Officials Office handles Fire Code Enforcement, Campfire Permits, Fire Hydrants, Annual Commercial Building Inspections, and Fire Code Inspections/Enforcement as associated with building structures. Click here to go to the Fire Official's page.

Open Burn Information
A permit is required for all small recreational fires in the Borough of Franklin Park. They must also occur under adult supervision and in strict compliance with the Borough's Open Burn Ordinance.

Residential Cooking Fire Prevention
A recent report from the National Fire Protection Agency showed that between 2010 to 2012, fires in residential buildings accounted to roughly 82% of all fire deaths, 78% of all fire injuries, and over half or 57% of the total dollar loss to property from all fires.
