Franklin Park Borough Community Scholarship Program
Each year Franklin Park Borough awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are borough residents. Typically, ten $1,000 scholarships are awarded. However, the number of scholarships varies based on the amount of funds raised. One scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing post-secondary education at a trade/technical school. This scholarship is named after Melvin D. Lubert, a borough employee who passed away unexpectedly while on duty at the Public Works Department.
Up to two scholarships may be awarded to qualified Junior Firefighters. The remaining scholarships are awarded based on community service, academic and other criteria.
