Comprehensive Plan

As previously reported, Franklin Park Borough and Ohio Township continue working on a Joint Comprehensive Plan. A Comprehensive Plan is not a law or regulation, but rather a document intended to help Borough proactively plan for future growth and development. With input from residents, businesses, and other stakeholders, the Comprehensive Plan identifies goals and expectations for residential and commercial growth, recreational space and opportunities, roads and infrastructure, and conservation of natural areas. The Franklin Park-Ohio Township Joint Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee met most recently on January 25 at the Ohio Township Nature Center. You can view the minutes of that meeting by clicking here and the slides presented at that meeting by clicking here. The Steering Committee is scheduled to meet again on Wednesday, March 8 at the Franklin Park municipal building.

If you would like to provide input in writing for consideration by the Steering Committee and Borough Council, you can submit your comments to FPCompPlan@franklinparkborough.us. Also, you can view the current Franklin Park Comprehensive Plan, adopted in 2006, by clicking here.
